Hi! I’m Pristine—

I was born in the Philippines before my family and I moved to Texas when I was a baby. I grew up in Sugar Land, Texas chowing down on Tex-Mex, southern comfort food, and traditional Filipino dishes.

Fast-forward a few years and a couple passports later and you’ll now find me cooking and blogging from a tiny kitchen in Hong Kong. Cooking and eating are a way for me to learn about the past and present culture of Hong Kong and the different communities I visit during my travels. Food also allows me to reconnect with my Filipino heritage and cure any bouts of homesickness while living abroad.

While I’m a long way from getting a Michelin star I’m excited for you to join me on my culinary travels and pursuits.

Outside of cooking and traveling with my husband, Peter, I have an amazing job working as a Special Projects Manager for the Akilah Institute for Women, the only women’s college in Rwanda and MindSky, a tech startup revolutionizing the recruitment and hiring process in East Africa.
