Our little man is 2 months old (read his birth story or one month recap)! There were some big milestones this last month which made things so much more fun. In addition to smiling and playing, Pate went on his first international vacation to Penang (more details on our trip coming soon!)

Patriot is still exclusively breastfed. Most of the time I feed him directly from me, but now he usually gets a bottle of pumped breastmilk before bed from Dad. He also occasionally gets a bottle if we are going out to dinner and I want to actually eat instead of just breastfeeding. I’ve also had a 1-2 mornings to myself to blog, read or workout where our helper has given him a bottle of milk.
He’s still demand fed and during the day feeds about 8-10 times.
At the beginning of the month, Patriot was continuing his sleep cycle of sleeping for 2-3 hours at a time at night, waking for 10-15 minute feeding sessions in between. However during the last 2 weeks of the month, he started sleeping from about ~7-10PM. Then we wake him for a diaper change and put on his sleep wrap before Dad gives him a bottle and we read him a book. He’s usually fast asleep after that for another 4 hours. Unfortunately after that sweet sleep session, he won’t sleep for more than ~1.5 hrs at a time. To remedy this, I’ve turned myself into a literal human milk machine. At night we cuddle in the side-lying feeding position and he has instant access to milk at any time. This has been the best way to get sleep for all three of the Lampards.
Happy 2 months, Patriot!
